Unitree's lineup of industrial quadrupeds includes the Aliengo, B1, and the latest addition, B2. What for? To meet the demands of modern industry: detailed inspections, challenging terrain navigation, heavy-duty tasks, search and rescue, security patrolling, and beyond. 

But what's special about these quadrupeds? Simply put, everything! From object detection and intelligent perception of their surroundings to being robust and stable when traveling through difficult environments and terrain. Let's further explore these quadrupeds below. 

A Closer Look at the Key Features of Unitree's Industrial Quadrupeds

While all three quadrupeds are designed for industrial use and navigating complex terrain, each has some unique features and strengths:

• Aliengo has great athletic performance (running, creeping, rolling, turning, etc.), excellent stability, robust impact resistance (e.g., when falling), and open access to the software. 
• B1 has an IP68 protection rating, meaning that it is waterproof and built for reliable operation in harsh conditions. It also has excellent load-bearing capacity.
• B2 is the more advanced version of B1, offering a top speed of 6 m/s, which is outstanding for an industrial-grade quadruped (the fastest quadruped according to Unitree!). B2 also offers better joint performance, increased endurance, and overall better stability and motion over complex terrains. Another very interesting and unique aspect of B2 is its ability to transform between a legged and wheeled quadruped!

Unitree Aliengo: The Athletic Marvel

The Aliengo quadruped weighs about 21.5kg (without battery), has a load capacity of 13kg, and can operate for 2.5 to 4.6 hours. It is athletic, meaning it can perform fast runs, backward maneuvers, side shuffles, and even obstacle crossing and stair climbing. 

The Aliengo is also equipped with a sophisticated multi-view depth sensing vision system, which includes two depth cameras and a visual odometer camera, allowing it to understand its environment and easily navigate complex terrains. 

It is also designed with a structure that can handle impacts, an adaptable control system, and amazing stability that enables it to swiftly adjust itself while operating. Therefore, falls, bumps, or irregular roads with obstacles pose no issue for this quadruped. 

Unitree B1: The Reliable Workhorse for the Industry

The B1 quadruped is about 50kg (with battery), has a walking load capacity of 20kg (maximum standing load capacity of 80kg), and a 2-hour walking operation time (5 hours when standing). It is designed for rugged industrial environments and operations in all sorts of weather conditions, with a design that is waterproof, stable, and tough. 

What's exceptional about the B1 quadruped is its advanced perception, AI capabilities, and high-performance computation. These properties enable the B1 to have full coverage and understanding of its surroundings and reliably carry out industrial tasks that require both strength and precision. 

Unitree B2: The Ultimate Industrial Quadruped

The B2 quadruped takes the B1 to a whole new level and represents the pinnacle of Unitree’s quadruped technology. According to Unitree, it is currently the fastest industrial-grade quadruped on the market, capable of reaching speeds of over 6 meters per second. 

The B2 quadruped is about 60kg (with battery) and excels in both load-bearing and endurance. It has a 100% increase in sustained load capacity compared to the B1: more than 40 kg when walking and up to 120 kg when standing. It can walk continuously for over 5 hours without a load and more than 4 hours while carrying a 20 kg load.

Impressive Videos of B2 demonstrate its stability and balance when making large jumps, climbing stairs, walking on slippery floors, and traversing uneven or complex terrain, even when it's being pushed around and kicked. In a more recent video, it was demonstrated that B2 can climb a 1.2-meter object, and can jump between two objects 1 m apart. 

Another very interesting aspect of Unitree B2 is that you can equip the feet of the quadruped with wheels to go faster and longer with better efficiency.
