Account & Profile Management

Creating an account on this website offers a multitude of benefits. Registered users can post their own projects related to robotics or AI and interact with other users through comments, likes, and shares. Additionally, they can compare posts, add posts related to events or job opportunities, and receive promotional codes to feature or promote their own posts. Registered users can customize their profile information, which includes their username, email address, and profile picture, and receive email notifications for new activities and news on the website. This feature helps them stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the field. By having an account, users can also keep track of their activity on the website, such as their own posts and comments, and easily access their favorite posts. Moreover, registering allows users to interact more easily with other members of the community, building meaningful connections and fostering collaboration.

To update or edit your profile information, you need to log in to your account and click on the ‘Account’ icon in the top right corner of the page. From there, select "Profile & Privacy" to make changes to your username, email address, profile picture, and other information.

Email notifications can be received when someone comments or replies to your posts or comments. Email communications are sent to users to provide them with the latest updates and news from addoobot.

If you're not a registered user, you can subscribe to these email communications by filling out the form located in the footer at the bottom of the website. You can unsubscribe from these email communications at any time by following the instructions provided at the bottom of each email.

As a registered user, you have greater control over the types of notifications and email communications you receive. To customize your preferences, navigate to your account settings and select "Notifications" or "Communications". From there, you can choose which types of notifications you want to receive, or whether you'd like to receive emails about the latest updates and news from addoobot.

If you forgot your password or username, go to the login page and click on " Forgot your password or username?". Enter the email address associated with your account, and a password reset link will be sent to your email. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password. If you want to change your password, log in to your account and go to your account settings. From there, select "Change Password" and follow the instructions.

If you wish to delete your account, navigate to the "Account" page and scroll down to the bottom to find the option to delete your account. As a security measure, you will need to re-enter your password to delete your account. Please note that deleting your account will result in the permanent removal of all associated data, including posts, comments, and other information.

Managing My Posts & Content

To submit a new post on the website, go to the relevant page, such as Job, Event, AI, or Robot arm page. Then, click on the “Post …” button located at the top right corner of the page. This will direct you to the appropriate form for submitting your post. If you are adding a robot project, ensure that you are on the specific category page that is relevant to your project (e.g., Underwater Robots), as it will direct you to the correct form.

We aim to review and approve posts within 24 hours of submission. However, in some rare cases where the post requires a more detailed review, it may take up to 72 hours to approve. If your post is not approved (or disapproved) within 72 hours, please contact us. If your post is disapproved, you will receive an email with the reason for disapproval. The reason will also appear at the top of your specific post, visible only to you. If you do not receive any response within 72 hours, you can contact the website support team.

If your robot post is relevant to multiple robot type categories, select the category that is most relevant. Posting in all relevant categories is discouraged, as it may lead to duplication. However, if you believe that posting in multiple categories will enhance the visibility of your post (e.g., if it is not straight forward to know which category your post belongs to), you may add the post to the most relevant categories.

Unfortunately, at the moment, you cannot move or copy your post to a different robot type category on the website. Each category has its own form and fields that are specifically designed for that category, which makes it difficult to move or copy posts between categories. If you have posted in the wrong category, you can delete the post and resubmit it to the correct category.

Currently, there is no option to schedule posts to be published at a later time or date. However, you can save your draft instead of submitting the form and come back to complete the post at a later time. You can also choose to hide your post after submitting it if you wish to publish it at a later date.

You can hide your post at any time by updating the post and clicking on the “Update and hide post” button at the bottom of the form instead of the “Update and Post” button. To update your post, go to the detailed page of the particular post and click on the “Update” button under the 'manage this post' section. Hiding your post will make it invisible to other users, and you can choose to publish it again at a later stage by accessing the update form again.

There are no limits on the number of posts or content you can submit to the website. However, please avoid submitting duplicate posts or posts related to the same project, job, event, or category.

You can update or edit your post at any time before or after it has been approved. To update your post, go to the detailed page of the particular post and click on the “Update” button under the 'manage this post' section. You must be logged in to view this section.

You can delete your post by going to the detailed page of the particular post and clicking on the ‘Delete’ button under the 'manage this post' section. You need to be logged to view this section. Please note that once a post is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Your post may be disabled because it violates the website's terms and conditions or contains inappropriate content. Please review the website's guidelines for posting content and ensure that your post complies with them. If you believe that your post has been mistakenly disabled, please contact us.

You can view all your posts, including hidden, incomplete, or disabled posts, by going to your account page and navigating to the appropriate section using the menu on the left. Alternatively, you can go to the relevant page on the website (e.g., ‘Underwater Robots’ page if you want to see your posts under this category), and at the top of the 'filter' menu, there are options to view your hidden, incomplete, or disabled posts.

To view the posts you have saved as favorites, you can go to your account page and navigate to the “Saved Posts” section using the menu on the left. You can also access your saved posts by going to the relevant page on the website (e.g., ‘Underwater Robots’ page if you want to see saved posts under this category) and clicking on the "Saved Posts" at the top of the 'filter' menu. These options are visible only if you are signed in.

Currently, videos cannot be directly added to posts, but you can include links to videos in your post, such as YouTube links. However, there are plans in the works to allow for videos and other media to be added to posts.

Yes, you can delete your comments by going to the specific comment and clicking the relevant icon.

You cannot delete comments made by other users on your post, but you can report inappropriate comments. You can alternatively disable the comment section of your post through updating your post and unchecking the option for comments at the bottom of the form.

Currently, the website only supports English as the primary language for posting content. However, there are plans in the works to support other languages in the future.

Other Posts & Content

If you cannot find the filter you are looking for, you can suggest it by contacting us. We will consider adding it to the existing filters or creating a new one based on your suggestion.

Yes, you can report a post or comment for inappropriate content or other issues. To report a post or comment, simply click on the report button located underneath it. The website administrators will review the reported content and take appropriate action.

To compare different posts on the website, go to the posts listing page and select all the posts you want to compare by clicking on the checkboxes. Then click on the "compare" button to view a side-by-side comparison of the selected posts.

Yes, you can search for specific posts on the website by going to the webpage of the relevant category and using the filters to search for particular posts. Each category has its unique set of filters to help with finding relevant posts. If you cannot find the filter you are looking for, you can suggest it by contacting us.

Yes, you can save posts to view later by clicking on the star icon located on the post you want to save as a favorite. You need to be a registered user and signed in to access this feature. To view your saved posts, go to your account page and navigate to the appropriate section by clicking on the "Saved Posts" tab on menu on. Alternatively, you can go to the relevant page on the website (e.g., ‘Underwater Robots’ page if you want to see your posts under this category), and at the top of the 'filter' menu, there is the option to view the “Saved Posts”.

Yes, you can easily share posts from the website on various social media platforms. To share a post, simply navigate to the detailed page of the post you want to share and click on the share button located at the top of the post. You will be given options to choose the social media platform you want to share the post on.

To find posts from a specific user, click on the ‘see author’s posts’ link on the post you are currently viewing, or click on the author’s name to be taken to their author page where you can access all the posts made by that author.

The website maintains a high standard of quality for all posts, which are checked for appropriateness upon submission and regularly reviewed. However, if you encounter a post that you believe is not appropriate, you can report it to the website administrators using the report button. The website administrators will carefully review the reported content and take appropriate action to address the issue.

The posts on the website are sorted, by default, based on the date they were updated. However, you can change the order of posts using the "sort by" option located at the top of the posts listings. Each category has its unique set of sorting relevant to that category.

Promotions & Advertisements

Yes, we offer advertising, sponsorship, and product/service promotion opportunities on our website. For more information on how to advertise or promote your product or service on our website, please contact us.

We offer promotion codes that can be used to promote posts and display them as featured posts on various locations throughout the website. To receive promotion codes and stay up-to-date with our promotions, please follow us on social media and subscribe to our mailing list.
