Our brand new collaborative robot designed for education, research and prototyping

Innovative products, advanced technology

A 6-axis robot arm for maximum adaptability:
Ned2 is capable of reproducing movements in line with the requirements of Industry 4.0.

A new aluminum structure:
its robustness and repeatability are therefore improved.

Ned2: the accessible collaborative robot that challenges imagination
Ned2 is a 6-axis collaboratif robot arm, based on open source technologies. Designed for educational and research purposes, it can be used to train, teach and learn.
The successor to Ned, Ned2 is more robust. Multiple improvements allow users to go even further in the understanding and use of collaborative robotics: The human-machine interaction has been improved in order to guarantee the clarity of the messages sent by the robot.

Our autonomous robot design
Following the footsteps of Ned, Ned2 is the ideal cobot to meet your diversified needs in terms of prototyping Industry 4.0 applications. Its six axes give it a range of motion that meets the requirements of the industry.
Designed with the same aluminum structure as Ned, Ned2 continues to meet your requirements in terms of robustness, precision (0.5 mm) and repeatability (0.5 mm).
The improvement of the global aesthetics has led us to develop a product with plastic molded covers, thus reducing its net weight and improving its robustness and finishing.

An improved Human-Robot interaction
The innovation of Ned2 lies in the improvement of the robot’s manipulation and attribution experience.
By relying on use cases, our product is redesigned according to the expectations of our users. It fits their needs as much as possible, while facilitating the manipulation of the robot, the understanding of the messages emitted and its operation mode.
The luminous ring located at the base allows to quickly obtain important information emitted by Ned2.

Also, thanks to a sound design adjusted to the different states of the robot, the base of Ned 2 has now two speakers which simplify the understanding of messages.
We have also equipped Ned2 with a control panel located on its wrist. It allows you to manipulate the arm of your robot with a simple press. With one touch you can activate the Freemotion mode, move your robot to the desired location, save its position in Niryo Studio and create your sequences in a very accessible way. To perfectly fit your project needs, you can also program a dedicated button.

Innovative products for educational and professionalizing use
We have re-evaluated a large part of our system and the tools that make it up. Our goal is to meet your needs and expectations, in order to simplify the use of Ned2 and the whole teaching and learning process.
