Event Description and Details

Welcome to UR 2024 in New York!

The 21st International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots (UR 2024) will be held at the Kimmel Center for University Life in NYU, Manhattan, New York, USA, from June 24 to 27, 2024. Since its inception in 2004, Ubiquitous Robots has now established itself as a leading mid-size robotics conference, bringing together robotics researchers from around the world who share the vision that robots, like smartphones, will become ubiquitous in our daily lives, and help connect and empower humans. Robotics is the ultimate interdisciplinary field, and Ubiquitous Robots invites contributions from the entire foundational spectrum—design, perception, manipulation, interfaces, mobility, intelligence—and application domains—industrial, social, transportation, medical, rehabilitation, healthcare, agriculture, construction, security, disaster, and many others. Ubiquitous Robots 2024 promises to be an exciting and innovative event, with invited talks, oral and poster presentations, workshops, and other new formats that will engage participants. We invite you to submit your latest work to Ubiquitous Robots 2024, and to come experience the myriad attractions of New York.

Plenary Talks
Jaydev Desai, Georgia Institute of Technology
Sami Haddadin, Technical University of Munich

Paper Submission
All papers must be written in English and submitted electronically via ras.papercept.net in one of the following two submission categories.
• Regular Papers (4-8 pages): Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers for oral presentation, and the accepted papers will be included in Ubiquitous Robots IEEE Xplore Conference Proceedings subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.

• Work-in-Progress Papers (2-4 pages): The conference seeks contributions from a broad set of on-going works for poster presentation with active interaction possible at the conference. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings for distribution to the conference participants. However, work-in-progress papers will not be uploaded to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, and the authors retain the copyright.

Call for Organized Sessions
The goal of organized sessions is to provide focused discussions on new topics or innovative applications of new approaches related to the various aspects of robots. Each organized session requires at least four papers and the first authors should be from at least two different countries. After the OS proposal is accepted, the potential OS papers should be submitted as regular paper or WIP paper. These papers submitted to the OS will also be reviewed by the conference editorial board (CEB). If an organized session has fewer than 4 accepted papers, they can be moved to poster sessions. If you intend to propose an organized session, please fill out the form (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.ozmailer.com/oele/ut.php?U=1ss4uv_7vrly_qdcrt0__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!aKFLMl4KJr_vhNAOw2l2au2unkUhjJbPFuRRyujYbPkgT08O_34FOBKqWoxl58ILsUEqybR4VIE$) and submit it to ur@kros.org no later than Dec. 1, 2023.

Call for Workshops and Tutorials
As with previous UR conferences, we invite proposals for workshops and tutorials that will be held prior to the conference. Workshops should focus on presenting recent results and promoting discussion about a well-defined active research area of interest to the robotics community. Tutorials should aim at presenting established principles/tools on robotics-related topics for dissemination to the general audience. Proposals (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.ozmailer.com/oele/ut.php?U=1ss4ve_7vrly_qdcrt0__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!aKFLMl4KJr_vhNAOw2l2au2unkUhjJbPFuRRyujYbPkgT08O_34FOBKqWoxl58ILsUEqhUg1Yac$) must be submitted via ur@kros.org by Mar. 1, 2024.

Call for Sponsors and Exhibitors
If you would like to participate in the UR 2024 as a sponsor or an exhibitor, please fill out the application form and send it to the UR 2024 Secretariat via email at ur@kros.org by March 30. All sponsorship fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full via bank wire transfer by April 15, 2024.
