The Yu 5 Industrial is designed as a flexible industrial cobot rather than simply a lightweight arm for repetitive pick-and-place work. Its integrated camera, lighting and neural processing unit give it built-in visual capabilities that can support object recognition, quality inspection and vision-guided handling.

The robot also includes torque sensors in all six joints. These sensors allow it to detect and control physical forces while manipulating parts, performing assembly work or operating close to people. Its ±0.05 mm pose repeatability supports applications that require consistent positioning, while its maximum TCP speed of 2.0 m/s allows it to work efficiently when the application and safety configuration permit.

AgileTags can be placed around a workstation to provide visual reference points. For integration, the system provides digital, analogue and safety I/O, Ethernet connectivity and an M8 end-effector interface.
