Top 5+ Qualities (by addoobot)

What we find to be the top qualities of the AUBO G-Series Cobots:

  • Heavy-Payload Capability: The initial G35 and G40 models are designed to handle substantially heavier components than AUBO’s smaller general-purpose cobots.
  • Full-Joint Torque Sensing: Every joint incorporates a torque sensor, allowing the robot to detect contact forces and respond during force-sensitive processes.
  • Long Working Reach: The G35 provides a 2,100 mm working radius for covering large workpieces, pallets and wide production areas.
  • Fast Real-Time Control: EtherCAT communication and a 1 kHz control frequency support responsive, synchronised robot motion.
  • Stable High-Speed Movement: AUBO’s vibration-suppression technology is designed to reduce residual movement during rapid starts and stops under heavy loads.
  • Consistent Positioning: Both initial models provide a published pose repeatability of ±0.05 mm.
  • Protected for Industrial Environments: IP67 protection and an operating range of −10°C to 50°C support deployment around dust, coolant and changing temperatures.
  • Flexible Installation: The G40 can be mounted at any orientation, while the G35 supports upright and inverted installation.
  • Multiple Control Options: Users can choose between wired teaching with the G-Pendant and wireless control with the G-STICK and a compatible tablet.

Heavy Loads with Force-Aware Control

The G Series is not simply a higher-payload version of AUBO’s earlier cobots. Its defining feature is the combination of heavy-load handling and torque sensing across all six joints. These sensors allow the robot to detect changes in contact force, which can be useful when a process involves physical contact with a workpiece.

During assembly, for example, the robot can respond to resistance rather than continuing along a completely rigid path. In grinding and polishing, force feedback can help the robot maintain more consistent contact with the surface. AUBO also combines this sensing with EtherCAT communication, a 1 kHz control frequency and vibration-suppression algorithms. The aim is to provide responsive movement while limiting residual oscillation during fast starts and stops.

This combination makes the G Series relevant to applications that need both physical strength and controlled contact. However, the suitability of any force-control function depends on the tooling, programming and wider system integration—not only the robot arm.

Applications Across Heavy Industry

AUBO positions the G Series for automotive manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, machining, new-energy manufacturing and welding. In automotive production, its payload capacity can support the handling of larger components, while its force-sensing capability can assist with assembly, gluing and other contact-based processes.

For logistics operations, the long reach of the G35 can cover large pallets and work areas, making it particularly relevant to heavy-load palletising. In machining environments, the robots can be used to load and unload workpieces, with IP67 protection helping around metal debris and coolant exposure. AUBO also identifies welding, painting, grinding and polishing as potential applications. The robot arm is only one part of the final installation. End effectors, external sensors, guarding and other safety measures must be selected for the particular task.

G35 or G40?

The two initial models address different heavy-duty requirements. The G35 prioritises reach, providing a 2,100 mm working radius and a maximum tool speed of 6.4 m/s. AUBO highlights wide-area palletising and the loading and unloading of large machined parts as particularly suitable uses.

The G40 has a shorter 1,800 mm working radius but provides the higher published payload. It is also lighter than the G35 and supports mounting at any orientation, making it more adaptable to high-mounted or tightly arranged production-line installations.

Model: AUBO-G35
Payload: 35 kg | Reach: 2,100 mm | Robot Weight: 115 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm | Maximum Tool Speed: 6.4 m/s
Best suited for: Wide-area palletising, large workpieces, conveyor-side handling and loading or unloading large machined components.

Model: AUBO-G40
Payload: 40 kg | Reach: 1,800 mm | Robot Weight: 109 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm | Maximum Tool Speed: 5.4 m/s
Best suited for: Heavier component handling, dense material-transfer operations and installations requiring flexible mounting or a lighter arm.
