One Series, Many Types of Automation
The GCR Series gives integrators several ways to balance payload, reach, speed and robot weight. The smallest GCR3-618 is suited to light, compact applications, while models such as the GCR25-1800 and GCR30-1100 move the range into heavier handling and palletising work. Payload and reach do not simply increase together: the GCR16-960 carries 16 kg within a relatively compact 960 mm working radius, whereas the GCR16-2000 carries the same maximum payload but reaches 2 metres.
SIASUN lists applications including picking, loading and unloading, assembly, screwdriving, welding, grinding, polishing, inspection and adhesive application. These applications normally require a suitable end effector, process equipment, sensors and system integration; the robot arm alone is not a complete welding, inspection or palletising system.
Comparing the GCR Models
Model: GCR3-618
Payload: 3 kg | Reach: 618 mm | Robot Weight: 13 kg | Repeatability: ±0.02 mm
What stands out: Smallest payload, shortest reach and lightest arm in the current GCR range.
Model: GCR5-910
Payload: 5 kg | Reach: 917 mm | Robot Weight: 22 kg | Repeatability: ±0.02 mm
What stands out: Light-payload model with 917 mm reach and the highest repeatability class offered in the GCR range.
Model: GCR7-910
Payload: 7 kg | Reach: 917 mm | Robot Weight: 22 kg | Repeatability: ±0.02 mm
What stands out: Provides 2 kg more payload than the GCR5-910 while retaining the same reach, stated weight and repeatability.
Model: GCR10-1300
Payload: 10 kg | Reach: 1300 mm | Robot Weight: 37.8 kg | Repeatability: ±0.03 mm
What stands out: Moves the range into double-digit payload capacity while extending reach to 1.3 metres.
Model: GCR12-1300
Payload: 12 kg | Reach: 1300 mm | Robot Weight: 37.8 kg | Repeatability: ±0.03 mm
What stands out: Adds 2 kg of payload over the GCR10-1300 while retaining the same stated reach, weight and repeatability.
Model: GCR16-960
Payload: 16 kg | Reach: 960 mm | Robot Weight: 37 kg | Repeatability: ±0.03 mm
What stands out: Combines a 16 kg payload with the shortest reach of SIASUN's higher-payload GCR models.
Model: GCR16-2000
Payload: 16 kg | Reach: 2000 mm | Robot Weight: 60 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm
What stands out: The longest-reaching standard GCR model, reaching a full 2 metres.
Model: GCR20-1400
Payload: 20 kg | Reach: 1400 mm | Robot Weight: 66 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm
What stands out: Combines a 20 kg payload with 1.4 metres of reach.
Model: GCR25-1800
Payload: 25 kg | Reach: 1800 mm | Robot Weight: 61.6 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm
What stands out: One of the highest-capacity GCR models while also providing the second-longest reach in the range.
Model: GCR30-1100
Payload: 30 kg | Reach: 1100 mm | Robot Weight: 64 kg | Repeatability: ±0.05 mm
What stands out: The highest-payload standard GCR model, trading the very long reach of some other models for a 30 kg payload capacity.
How the GCR Series Differs from SIASUN’s Other Cobots
The standard GCR Series is SIASUN DUCO's general-purpose fixed-base cobot family. Its ten current models provide the broadest basic choice, from 3 to 30 kg payload and 618 to 2000 mm reach. The other collaborative offerings shown in SIASUN's current catalog are more specialized.
GCR Series: General-purpose 6-axis collaborative arms for a broad range of automation applications.
Explosion-Proof Series: Specialized GCR-based cobots intended for hazardous environments. SIASUN currently lists four models from 10–25 kg payload and specifically describes use in flammable, explosive, toxic, harmful, high-temperature or high-pressure environments found in sectors such as petroleum, natural gas and chemicals.
Welding Workstation: Application-focused GCR-W versions built around welding. SIASUN says these include a welding process package and support processes such as spot, corner, oscillation, reciprocating, cladding and multi-layer/multi-pass welding, with options for additional external axes.
Palletizing Workstation: A dedicated palletizing solution rather than another broad arm family; SIASUN currently lists it with a 25 kg payload and 1800 mm reach.
DUCO Mobile Cobot: Combines a collaborative arm with a mobile robotic platform, allowing the robot to move between locations rather than remaining at one fixed workcell. SIASUN describes these systems as supporting functions such as material handling, assembly, inspection and precision processing, with SLAM/QR navigation offered on models such as the HC-X2-B.
