What Makes Rizon Special

Rizon is designed around force-controlled adaptivity rather than relying only on fixed positions and pre-programmed paths. Force and torque sensing across the arm allows it to regulate contact at the tool, follow curved or uneven surfaces and react to external disturbances. This is particularly useful when parts are not located perfectly, fixtures have small tolerances, or a process requires consistent pressure rather than position alone.

Its seventh joint also gives the arm more freedom to change posture while keeping the tool in the correct position. This can help it work around fixtures, avoid singularities and use confined workspaces more effectively. Across the range, Flexiv combines this dexterity with ±0.05 mm pose repeatability, IP65 protection and payload options of 4 kg or 10 kg. The result is a flexible platform for tasks that sit between rigid industrial automation and delicate, human-like manipulation.

Applications and Integration

Flexiv identifies precision assembly, component insertion, polishing, sanding, trimming, loading and unloading, vehicle charging and other force-guided operations as typical Rizon applications. Rizon vs Flexiv Enlight

Rizon is Flexiv’s longer-established industrial adaptive-robot family, with four current configurations spanning 4–10 kg payloads, 876–984 mm reach and 20–39 kg arm weights. This makes it the stronger choice when an application requires a 10 kg payload, additional reach, or a platform with an established range of industrial deployments.

Enlight L is Flexiv’s newer, next-generation adaptive arm. It has a 5 kg payload, 752 mm reach and much lighter 15 kg body. Its main distinction is whole-body tactile interaction: multidimensional force-torque sensors in all seven joints enable single-touch recognition, tracking of multiple contact points and tactile pattern recognition. Four joints can also rotate through 720°, giving Enlight unusual freedom in confined or unstructured spaces. Enlight uses the newer Orion control architecture, which can manage multiple robots.

Both are seven-axis, IP65 adaptive arms with ±0.05 mm repeatability, any-position mounting and a typical 1.0 m/s TCP speed. In simple terms, Rizon offers more payload and reach choices, while Enlight focuses on lower weight, greater rotational freedom and richer whole-body touch sensing.
